City of Little Rock to pay $250,000 in Terence Caffey settlement

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KATV) — The City of Little Rock has agreed to pay $250,000 of a $602,000 settlement to the family of Terence Lamar Caffey , a 30-year-old man who died in the custody of Little Rock Police following an incident at a local movie theater.

On December 10, 2021, an off-duty deputy from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office was working security at the Movie Tavern and intervened in an altercation taking place between Caffey and employees at the movie theater.
