1)Mayor Ethan Dunbar with the Arkansas Black Mayors Association (ABMA), made up of 58 Arkansas Black mayors, established in 1972 the overarching goal is to improve the educational, economic, health, and social levels of the 441,000 citizens we serve throughout the state. They’ve received a $95.9 million investment from the United States Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service. This is a first-of-its-kind investment. The funds are to address flooding areas in the state of which normally affects African-Americans. There are 14 areas in the state selected to receive this funding.
